Job description

This position involves performing blood collections from patients of all ages in a patient service setting. Duties include specimen handling, data entry, billing, and customer service, with occasional travel to additional sites.

Work Schedule

Monday – Friday 4:30am – 1:00pm, rotating Saturday and Sunday 4:30am – 9:00am.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform accurate and timely data entry of patient information.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Complete administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification, completed training program, or ≥3 months of phlebotomy experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• ≥2 years of phlebotomy experience with all age patients.

Additional Job Standards

• In lieu of work experience, phlebotomy certification or a completed training program must be from an accredited agency.
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision.
• Reliable transportation.Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Ability to pass a standardized color‑blindness test.
