Job summary

Saint Joseph Health System is seeking a Full Time Phlebotomist for Day Shift at University Park Family Medicine in Indiana. The role involves obtaining blood specimens, verifying patient identity, and performing venipunctures according to aseptic techniques.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Licensure: PBT (ASCP) certification or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• According to established policies and procedures, obtains blood and other specimens for laboratory testing according to physicians’ orders. Obtains needed supplies, verifies patient identification, prepares skin site and performs venipunctures according to established aseptic techniques. Labels specimens and transport it to Laboratory for analysis.
