Job summary

Sanford Health in Park Falls seeks a phlebotomist to collect blood samples and interact with patients in a fast-paced, on-site environment.

No formal training is required for the primary role, as on-the-job training is available; phlebotomy experience is preferred and BLS certification may be required.

Monday- Friday position working a rotation of 6 and 8 hour days. No scheduled weekends or holidays.

No formal training is needed for position, as willing to train the right applicant on the job, but experience in phlebotomy is preferred.

Uses equipment to collect samples of blood and other fluids from patients/residents; explains procedures to patients/residents and collects information from them in a professional manner. Collects and manages samples of blood and specimens from patients/residents; ensures patient/resident safety during the sample collection process. Records and documents patient/resident information accurately. Follows all standard procedures and safety regulations; deploys asepsis techniques during phlebotomy procedures. Communicates with patients/residents, collecting their health information and answering their questions regarding phlebotomy procedures.

  • High school diploma or General Educational Development Diploma (GED) required.
  • Completion of a formal phlebotomy program, phlebotomy experience, and experience in a laboratory-related field preferred. May be required to have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
