Sanford Health in Fargo, ND is seeking a phlebotomist for a part-time position with evening shifts. The role involves phlebotomy duties, specimen handling, and coordination with the laboratory team.

The ideal candidate will have a phlebotomy program completion (or certification) and BLS certification. On-the-job training is provided, with opportunities for growth within the laboratory services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Completion of a formal phlebotomy program, phlebotomy experience, and experience in a laboratory-related field preferred.
• May be required to have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Phlebotomy: collect, prepare and process specimens.
• Assist in laboratory activities and other assigned tasks.
• Enter laboratory orders and results as needed; ensure accuracy and quality of data in a safe environment.

PM Shift – Varies start times, starting anywhere from 1:30pm – 3:30pm

*** part-time position will work every other weekend and full-time will work every third weekend

*** holidays three per year On-calls: Five to six on-call weekends per year

Job Summary

Responsibilities include phlebotomy, collecting, preparing and processing specimens biological specimens. Assists in performing laboratory activities and other assigned tasks. Aids in preparing laboratory specimens and supplies. May be responsible for entering laboratory orders and results. Ensures the accuracy and quality of laboratory data in a safe and professional work environment.

Qualifications

High school diploma or General Educational Development Diploma (GED) preferred.

Completion of a formal phlebotomy program, phlebotomy experience, and experience in a laboratory-related field preferred. May be required to have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
