Haywood Regional Medical Center in Clyde, NC is seeking a PRN Phlebotomist to join our 24/7 laboratory team. You will perform specimen labeling, accessioning, and blood collection using age-appropriate techniques to support fast, accurate patient care.

The role offers a flexible PRN schedule, opportunities for ongoing education, and access to comprehensive benefits. A state Phlebotomy certificate and BLS are required or obtained within 30 days of hire.

Our full-service clinical laboratory at HRMC operates 24/7, providing a comprehensive range of diagnostic services including chemistry, hematology, microbiology, pathology, and urinalysis. Serving both inpatients and outpatients, we offer routine and STAT testing, backed by a skilled team consisting of a board certified pathologist, medical technologists and technicians, phlebotomists, and support staff. Committed to accuracy and timeliness, we deliver the critical results providers need to ensure the best possible patient care.

How you'll contribute

A Phlebotomist who excels in this role:

Specimen labeling, ordering, accessioning, and processing.

Collects blood specimens using age-appropriate techniques.

Maintains equipment and medical supplies.

Specified waived testing if applicable.

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a Hight School diploma or GED, and a current state Phlebotomy certificate. Additional requirements include:

• Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
