Job summary

Lifepoint Health is looking for a part-time Phlebotomist at Haywood Regional Medical Center in Clyde, NC. This position involves managing drug therapy protocols and providing essential drug-related education. Candidates must possess a Doctorial degree in Pharmacy (PharmD) and hold an active North Carolina pharmacy license.

Qualifications

  • Doctorial degree in Pharmacy (PharmD) with an active pharmacy license in North Carolina.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support required within 30 days of hire.
  • Certifications ACLS and PALS required within six months of hire.

  • Manages drug therapy protocols as part of an interdisciplinary team.
  • Reviews and interprets medication orders to resolve drug-related issues.
  • Educates medical staff and patients on drug information.

Our 24-hour pharmacy offers opportunities to perform clinical pharmacy services for patients in various departments of the hospital, including ICU, PCU/Cardiac, and the Emergency Department. How you’ll contribute
  • Manages drug therapy protocols as a part of an interdisciplinary team.
  • Reviews, interprets and evaluates medication orders to identify, prevent and resolve potential or actual drug related problems.
  • Provides drug information and education to medical staff, healthcare professionals, and patients, and pharmacy students.
  • Documents interventions and their outcomes for use in drug therapy quality improvement efforts.
  • Evaluates medication orders for accuracy and completeness prior to order entry.
  • Checks for accuracy after filling by technicians.

What we’re looking for

Applicants should possess a Doctorial degree in Pharmacy (PharmD), along with a pharmacy license active in North Carolina. Additional requirements include:

  • Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
  • ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.
  • One year of experience preferred.
