Position

Phlebotomist – Nashville, TN

Schedule

Monday–Friday 8:00am–5:00pm

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other laboratory studies.
• Accurately and promptly enter patient information.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Perform additional administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completion of an accredited training program, or three months or more of experience as a phlebotomist.

Preferred Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience as a phlebotomist.

Additional Job Standards

• Phlebotomy certification must come from an accredited agency.
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision.
• Reliable transportation.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.
