Overview

Pride Health is hiring a Phlebotomist to support our client’s medical facility in Hoffman Estates, IL. This is a 3-month assignment with the possibility of a contract-to-hire opportunity.

Schedule: M-F 8 am to 4:30 pm / E/O Saturday 7-12 pm

Duration: 3 Months+

Pay rate: $24.00/hr - $25.00/hr

The salary is determined by an individual's level of experience, as well as any relevant licenses and certifications they may hold.

• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain in a clear but courteous manner the process of venipuncture (blood drawing) and other specimen collection as required.
• Demonstrate technique using straight needles and/or butterfly needles.
• Fully understand all physician orders. Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes. Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order.
• Check all test requisitions or computer labels against the script to ensure 100% correctness.
• Package specimens for transport.
• Store specimen samples according to the required temperature, and place samples as needed.
