Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Douglasville is looking for a dedicated individual to support plasma donation operations. You will screen donors, perform phlebotomy, and ensure the highest standards of safety and quality are met to help collect life-changing medicines.

Candidates should possess a high school diploma and have experience in customer service roles. Physical stamina for standing and lifting is required, along with a commitment to customer care. Compensation includes a starting hourly wage of $16.00 and various benefits.

Job description

This position supports plasma donation operations by screening donors, performing phlebotomy, and ensuring safety and quality.

About The Role

You will report to the Plasma Center Manager and will perform as a plasma donor screener and perform phlebotomy to support plasma center operations.

How You Will Contribute
  • Answer phones, greet donors, and focus on their experience while ensuring safety.
  • Screen new and repeat donors and record donor vital signs and finger‑stick results.
  • Use the Donor Information System, prepare donor charts, maintain accurate records, and coordinate donor compensation.
  • Help identify operational opportunities for continuous improvement and initiate changes to center processes using company‑approved procedures.
  • Works a variety of shifts, including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
What You Bring To Takeda
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire work shift.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Physical ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach above shoulders and below knees.
  • Ability to lift up to 5 lbs., occasionally up to 32 lbs., and rarely up to 50 lbs.
  • Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and ability to hear equipment from a distance.
  • Comfort with prolonged glove wear due to potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens (risk level 1).
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a customer or patient‑facing role is helpful.
Compensation and Benefits

U.S. – GA – Douglasville
Starting hourly wage: $16.00
Hourly wage will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
U.S. based employees may be eligible for short‑term incentives, medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short‑term and long‑term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, well‑being benefits, up to 80 hours of sick time per calendar year, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
