Job summary

Haywood Regional Medical Center in Clyde, NC is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our 24/7 full‑service clinical laboratory. You will label specimens, collect blood using age‑appropriate techniques, and help maintain equipment and supplies to support rapid, accurate testing.

This role is part of a dedicated team of pathologists, technologists and phlebotomists delivering essential patient care. Requirements include a High School diploma or GED, a current Phlebotomy certificate and Basic Life

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Current Phlebotomy certificate required.
• Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire.

Our full-service clinical laboratory at HRMC operates 24/7, providing a comprehensive range of diagnostic services including chemistry, hematology, microbiology, pathology, and urinalysis. Serving both inpatients and outpatients, we offer routine and STAT testing, backed by a skilled team consisting of a board certified pathologist, medical technologists and technicians, phlebotomists, and support staff. Committed to accuracy and timeliness, we deliver the critical results providers need to ensure the best possible patient care.

What We're Looking For

Applicants should have a Hight School diploma or GED, and a current state Phlebotomy certificate. Additional requirements include:

• Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
