Job summary

Bay Area Community Resources (BACR) in the San Francisco Bay Area is seeking a Development Manager to lead our growing fundraising operations. You will drive calendars, deadlines, and donor communications, while supporting executive leadership in grant proposals and donor stewardship.

You will coordinate with the CEO and five Executive Directors to organize philanthropy across programs, ensure timely follow-ups, and maintain our donor database, reports, and narratives.

Qualifications

• Exceptional organizational and project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple workstreams and meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across diverse audiences, including executives and donors.
• Ability to manage up and coordinate across CEO and directors to drive fundraising initiatives.
• Proficiency with donor databases and CRM systems (Salesforce), MS Office, and Google Workspace.
• Experience or familiarity with AI tools as applied to nonprofit fundraising is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a stewardship calendar with grant deadlines, donor touchpoints, campaigns, and events.
• Track fundraising commitments and provide reminders to leadership.
• Schedule and coordinate donor, funder, and prospect meetings for the CEO and Directors.
• Prepare agendas, briefing materials, and summaries; capture notes and follow-ups.
• Support grant proposals, reports, and communications with leadership and finance staff.
• Develop and maintain a Salesforce donor database and generate reports for leadership.
• Collaborate on grants tracking from prospect research through renewal.
