Job summary

The Kresge Foundation seeks a SIP Fellow to plan and implement cross-team efforts advancing racial equity in American cities, with national and Detroit-area field work. The Fellow will manage projects, conduct research and analysis, and lead initiatives aligned with program priorities.

This two-year appointment, starting August 2024, offers hybrid work in the Detroit metro area and opportunities for mentorship, leadership training, and collaborative learning within a supportive foundation

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree required.
Two years of experience in finance, economics, urban planning, policy, community, or economic development.
Ability to read and interpret financial statements; familiarity with nonprofit financial statements a plus.
Aptitude for uncovering stories behind financial data and communicating analyses.
Attention to detail with accuracy and pride in work.

Responsibilities

Serve as a project manager and coordinator for the programmatic team, keeping tasks, dates, deliverables, agendas, and notes current.
Support and/or lead specific projects that contribute to program goals.
Coordinate participation in activities like lunch and learns, program forums, and related projects.
Support budgeting, strategy development, goal setting, and work planning.
Prepare materials for presentations and meetings.
Assist in grant review and partner engagement; travel to conferences and site visits.
