Job summary

North Carolina State University is seeking an Assistant Dean of Philanthropy in the College of Engineering to lead the advancement program, manage a team, and drive fundraising strategy. The role involves close collaboration with university leadership, donors, and alumni to advance priorities and secure transformative support.

The successful candidate will oversee the NC State Engineering Foundation, develop a high-impact donor pipeline, and guide campaigns with senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required.
• At least eight years of major gift fundraising and advancement leadership.
• Experience developing fundraising strategies, including campaigns.
• Experience managing institutional advancement staff and volunteers.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the college’s advancement program and team.
• Cultivate and steward major gifts and seven-figure prospects.
• Partner with university leadership and donors to advance priorities.
• Set strategy for philanthropy and foundation operations.
• Oversee Foundation governance and operations.
