Job summary

Food Bank for New York City is seeking a Coordinator, Philanthropy to provide administrative support to the Vice President, Philanthropy and the fundraising team, focusing on building donor relationships to sustain and increase philanthropic investment.

The role is hybrid with on-site requirements at the Community Kitchen in Harlem and/or the warehouse in the Bronx; some evening and weekend work is required for special events and donor site visits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience.
• Minimum of one year of administrative experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Non-profit development experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary administrative support for the VP, Philanthropy and donors.
• Assist with donor-facing work, including reminders, materials, and draft communications.
• Coordinate internal and external meetings and manage move management steps.
• Archive conversations, notes and decisions for timely outcomes.
• Coordinate administrative aspects of team events and donor activities.
• Develop workflow and event planning documents for initiatives.
• Represent the organization accurately with donors and volunteers at events.
