Job summary

The James Beard Foundation in New York is seeking a Development Manager to streamline the daily flow of fundraising activities, coordinate donor communications, and help solicit gifts to meet department goals.

Reporting to the VP of Philanthropy, you will own the Patron Program, manage events and newsletters, oversee Gala/table sales, and collaborate with Greens members while supporting prospect research and Salesforce data.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional nonprofit fundraising experience.
• Experience with Salesforce or comparable CRM.
• Proficient in MS 365, including Adobe Acrobat Pro, and Monday.com.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills.
• Ability to travel domestically and attend evening events.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day administration and execution of the Patron Program.
• Coordinate events and patron engagement with internal and external partners.
• Manage donor communications calendar and monthly newsletters.
• Support donor follow-up and post-event communications.
• Oversee Gala table/ticket sales and Greens member relations.
• Assist with prospect research and Salesforce data updates.
