Job summary

The Fort Wayne Philharmonic is seeking a Part-Time Event Support member to help execute events at the Philharmonic Center. This hands-on role covers setup, breakdown, on-site support, and vendor coordination to ensure a smooth guest experience.

Hours vary by calendar, typically evenings and weekends, with some office hours possible. Starting around 20 hours per week, the role emphasizes reliability, punctuality, and the ability to lift up to 40 lbs while maintaining venue standards throughout

Qualifications

• Prior experience in event support, hospitality, catering, or a similar service role preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced event environment.
• Ability to qualify for a servers license (alcohol).
• Evenings and weekends availability required.
• Reliable, punctual, and professional in appearance and manner.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Set up and break down event spaces including furniture, staging, signage, and Bar Services in accordance with event layouts, event contracts, and client specifications
• Serve as an on-site point of contact during events, assisting clients, guests, and vendors as needed
• Coordinate with caterers, A/V technicians, bartending staff, facilities staff, and other vendors to support event logistics
• Monitor event spaces throughout the event to ensure cleanliness, safety, and adherence to venue standards
• Assist with post-event breakdown, inventory return, and room reset
