Job summary

CSL Plasma in Saint Paul, MN is seeking a donor pheresis technician to prepare donors, donor areas and equipment for the pheresis process. You will monitor the donor and machine, respond to alarms, and disconnect the donor when the procedure ends.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, and at least 3 months' work experience in a medical environment, with basic math skills. PDA usage will be used to log incidents and connect equipment to donors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three months' work experience, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and the pheresis process and respond to alarms or signals.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain awareness to any donor reactions and notify appropriate staff.
• Record incidents and equipment usage in the PDA and link equipment to the donor.
