Job summary

CSL in Youngstown, OH is seeking an entry-level Donor Center Technician to prep pheresis equipment and support donor care. You will monitor the donor and process, respond to alarms, and ensure accurate data recording.

This role requires a high school diploma, and at least 3 months of related work experience; basic math skills are needed. The position may involve lifting up to 25 pounds, standing for long periods, and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months' work experience in a medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Will perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and the pheresis process, responds to alarms or signals during the process.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness to donor reactions and notify appropriate staff.
• Use PDA to record incidents, link equipment to donors, and log data.
• Alert Group Leader or Supervisor of donor flow issues.
• Ensure accurate recording of donor data in the electronic donor information management system.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow HSE/OSHA policies.
• May be cross-trained in other areas; bilingual skills may be required.
• Perform job-related duties as assigned.
