Job summary

CSL is seeking qualified clinical staff to evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis, provide limited emergency care, and conduct medical history reviews. The role involves counseling donors on reactive results and coordinating follow-up as needed.

Candidates should have a paramedic, nursing, PA, chiropractic, or medical degree and at least one year in healthcare; plasma center experience is a plus. Office-based center in Texas. Full-time position.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a paramedic, nursing, physician assistant, chiropractic, medical school or naturopathic medical training program.
• Foreign medical graduates must be licensed or certified as EMT where applicable.
• Minimum of one year of experience in a healthcare environment.
• Experience in a plasma or whole blood collection center preferred.
• Ability to perform physical assessment of heart, lung sounds and related signs.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis procedures under general supervision.
• Provide limited emergency medical care to donors and staff per licensure or certification.
• Interview donors and review medical history to determine donation suitability.
• Respond to medically related questions with Center Medical Director and inform staff on donor suitability.
• Review tests and determine ongoing donor suitability; assess donor symptoms.
• Notify and counsel donors regarding reactive test results; refer to facilities for follow-up.
• Provide routine care following SOPs; escalate critical medical situations as required.
