Qualifications

• Master’s degree plus 5 or more years’ experience or combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of educational programming, graduate student affairs, and/or project management.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, remain calm under pressure, and adapt positively to change.
• Ability to build effective relationships within Geisel, across Dartmouth schools, and with external partners including recruiters and corporate sponsors.
• Effective decision‑making skills based on analysis, experience, and judgment.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality on various sensitive information and materials.

Responsibilities

• Serves as the primary liaison facilitating interactions between the PhD Program Director(s) and program trainees, applicants to the program, faculty, other administrators, program alums, and donors.
• Supports recruiting and admissions activities for the PhD program, including managing the application system, pre‑screening applicants, and guiding admissions decisions.
• Oversees onboarding and enrollment requirements, coordinating with offices on requirements and orientation activities.
• Plans and implements academic, networking, and social events for PhD students in coordination with Student Life.
• Monitors student progress and advises on course selection, milestones, and deadlines, referring concerns to program directors as appropriate.
• Maintains program policies and handbook, and communicates changes to the PhD program community.
• Supports program communications, including website maintenance and internal/external communications.
• Administrative lead for PRAISE T32 program, coordinating seminars and related events.
