Qualifications

  • PhD in aerospace or mechanical engineering.
  • Experience in aerodynamics, aerothermal, propulsion, thermal, or structural technologies.
  • Outstanding communications and collaboration skills.
  • U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain Interim Secret, then Secret clearance by start date.

Responsibilities

  • Predict and model aerodynamic characteristics of air-vehicle configurations including hypersonic concepts.
  • Perform multi-fidelity analysis using CFD and thermal software for vehicle design.
  • Plan and execute ground tests and develop models for wind tunnel and arcjet facilities.
  • Design future conceptual vehicles and perform multidisciplinary system analysis.
  • Optimize hypersonic propulsion designs including inlet design and system integration.
