Qualifications

  • PhD in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related STEM discipline.
  • Passion for missile modeling, aerodynamics, flight dynamics, guidance, navigation, and control.
  • Demonstrated experience with technical report writing.
  • Experience with presentations and public speaking.
  • Coding experience in MATLAB or Python.
  • Data analysis experience.
  • Eligible for Interim Secret clearance with potential for Top Secret; US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and utilize modeling and simulation tools for trade studies and design analyses of missile and hypersonic systems.
  • Participate in test and evaluation activities including pre/post flight evaluations.
  • Analyze data with computational tools and draw conclusions from trends.
  • Collaborate with cross-discipline teams to advise on engineering challenges and design trades.
  • Communicate findings to team members and government partners.
  • Advance current analysis methodologies with novel solutions.
  • Mentor staff in new techniques and problem solving.
