Qualifications

• PhD student in CS/CE/EE/AI enrolled full‑time or on a co‑op basis.
• Proficient in Python with hands‑on AI or systems coursework.
• Familiarity with PyTorch or similar ML frameworks.
• Interest in AI‑assisted software development and LLMs.
• Strong analytical and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and evaluate AI‑assisted workflows for hardware and software engineering applications.
• Develop tools that integrate LLMs and AI agents with engineering systems, including compilers, simulators, profilers, and validation frameworks.
• Support automation of engineering workflows through candidate generation, validation, evaluation, and structured feedback.
• Collaborate with engineers and researchers to define metrics for correctness, performance, and engineering productivity.
• Contribute to evaluation datasets, benchmarking, and experiment tracking for AI‑assisted engineering workflows.
• Improve prompts, retrieval systems, and tool interfaces to enhance AI agent performance.
• Analyze workflow performance and help identify opportunities to improve reliability, efficiency, and automation.
