Job summary

Blue Cross NC is hiring a Vendor Manager to support the pharmacy division's vendor management portfolio. You will ensure outsourced relationships deliver value through onboarding, process alignment, performance reporting, and issue resolution.

You will liaise between business leads, vendors, and internal teams, providing input on contracts and monitoring performance. The role requires a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and 3+ years of related experience; 5+ years can substitute for a degree.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or advanced degree is required or preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in a related field; in lieu of a degree, 5+ years of experience.
• Experience in vendor management and contract-related activities is highly beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day vendor relationships to ensure effective delivery of outsourced services.
• Serve as liaison between vendors and business stakeholders, providing performance updates.
• Facilitate vendor onboarding and educate vendors on program details and processes.
• Collaborate with business leads to refine requirements and drive capabilities with vendors.
• Analyze performance data to identify gaps and drive process improvements.
• Review vendor work for quality and manage service improvement plans.
• Contribute to vendor contract negotiations to align with business strategy.
• Work with internal partners on vendor strategy using data-driven insights.
