Job summary

HCA Florida West Hospital seeks a Supervisor Pharmacy Technicians to oversee daily Pharmacy Department operations, including medication system management, procurement, and dispensing. You will supervise staff, ensure safety, and train pharmacists, technicians, and students while maintaining controlled substance records.

You will promote a patient-centered approach and work with leadership to implement policies, procedures, and cost-effective practices to support high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) credential required.
• Pharmacy Technician License required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Pharmacy Department.
• Manage medication system, procurement, storage, ordering, transcription, preparation, dispensing and monitoring of drug therapy.
• Provide medication information, pharmacokinetic dosing, and dispensing services; assist in training staff.
• Maintain controlled substance records and promote patient safety.
• Assist in development and implementation of policies and procedures; supervise staff.
• Promote a positive, customer-oriented demeanor to patients, visitors, staff and physicians.
• Identify cost-containment opportunities without compromising safety or quality.
• Report potential patient safety issues and support performance improvement efforts.
