Job summary

HCA Florida West Hospital is seeking a Pharmacy Technician Specialist PRN to support advanced and basic technician functions, assist in quality management, and lead specialized duties as needed by the pharmacy management team.

Responsibilities include medication preparation, sterile/non-sterile compounding, ADM replenishment, inventory management, and ensuring efficient core workflow while supporting nursing and pharmacy staff. Requires CPhT and PharmTech licensing with a HS diploma.

Qualifications

• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) credential required.
• Licensed Pharmacy Technician (PharmTech) license required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced and basic pharmacy technician duties including medication preparation and ADM replenishment.
• Manage sterile and non-sterile compounding and core workflow.
• Oversee day-to-day operations of specialized pharmacy service functions.
• Identify issues, prioritize workload, and communicate with staff in a timely manner.
