Job summary

Kroger Family of Companies is seeking a pharmacy technician to support pharmacists in patient care and prescription processing in a retail pharmacy setting in Medford, Oregon. You will assist with data entry, product dispensing, and HIPAA-compliant handling of patient information while delivering friendly, accurate service.

The role requires completing national registration or licensure and staying compliant with state regulations; previous pharmacy experience is a plus.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED.
Must be 18 years of age.
Ability to handle highly confidential information.
Completion of national registration, certification or licensure.

Responsibilities

Understand and adhere to HIPAA regulations and company policies.
Maintain current national/state registration, certification, or license.
Assist pharmacist in responsibilities requiring professional judgement.
Provide stellar customer experience while completing reception, data entry, adjudication, and dispensing steps.
Support coaching and training of clerks/technicians.
Compound medications per state regulations.
Perform post fill audits to verify prescriptions against records.
Support non-dispensing services across platforms and applications.
Complete CLIA-waived screenings per laws and policy.
Provide health and wellness services as allowed by regulations.
Comply with sanitation and safety guidelines and report unsafe conditions.
