Job summary

Kroger in Portland, Oregon is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support health and wellness initiatives, assist pharmacists, and deliver outstanding customer service. You will help ensure compliant handling of patient information under HIPAA and state regulations.

Maintain licenses and registrations, participate in CLIA-waived screenings where allowed, train clerks and technicians, and assist with dispensing and data entry while upholding sanitation and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Completion of national registration, certification or licensure.
• Ability to handle highly confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Support health and wellness initiatives.
• Understand and adhere to HIPAA regulations and company policies.
• Maintain a current national or state registration, certification, or license depending on state requirements.
• Assist pharmacist in all responsibilities except those requiring a pharmacist's professional judgement.
• Provide stellar customer experience while completing reception, data entry, adjudication, and product dispensing accurately.
• Support coaching and training of clerks and technicians.
• Compound medications according to state and other regulations.
• Perform post-fill audits to verify prescription information matches records.
• Support non-dispensing services through various platforms and applications.
• Complete all aspects of CLIA-waived screenings in compliance with state and federal law and company policies.
• Provide additional health and wellness services allowed by state and other regulatory bodies.
• Comply with sanitation and safety regulations and report unsafe conditions.
