Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Working toward licensed technician certification through a national program required.
• Previous experience as a pharmacy clerk preferred.
• Vaccination certification required if administering vaccines as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service by greeting customers with a smile and learning their names.
• Assist pharmacists in preparing prescription drug products for dispensing and processing prescriptions.
• Handle prescription processing and third-party insurance billing and troubleshooting.
• Gather and maintain accurate patient information required to prepare prescriptions and enter data into the system.
• Order, check in, and stock pharmacy supplies and log invoices as necessary.
• Administer vaccines as allowed by law, with required certification where applicable.
• Maintain confidentiality of patients' private medical information in accordance with HIPAA and state/federal regulations.
