Job summary

Berkshire Health Systems in Pittsfield, MA is seeking a Retail Pharmacy Technician Trainee to join the BMC Pharmacy team. This trainee program guides you to become a State Licensed and a Nationally Certified Pharmacy Technician while you learn under a preceptor.

You will participate in the Berkshire Health Systems Certified Pharmacy Technician Education Program, complete didactic courses, and perform duties under supervision as you gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, customer-focused

Qualifications

Entry level, no experience required.
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Trainees must obtain a Pharmacy Technician Trainee license within 30 days of hire and pass the required board examination after a minimum of 500 hours and before reaching 1,500 hours or one year of employment, whichever occurs first.
Successfully completes the pharmacy technician didactic courses within the time frames specified by the preceptor.
Successfully passes all relevant post-tests.
Experience in basic office skills preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist other technicians in the BMC Pharmacy.
Participate in the Berkshire Health Systems Certified Pharmacy Technician Education Program.
Function clinically under the direction of the preceptor and will perform other duties as requested by the Lead Pharmacist, Pharmacists and/or Preceptor Pharmacist.
