Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be licensed in Michigan as a Pharmacy Technician.
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a pharmacy technician.
• Two years college experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED; completion of a pharmacy technician program preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, and database software.
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
• Ability to work with changing priorities and deadlines.
• Demonstrates keyboard proficiency as required.

Responsibilities

• Accurate sending and receiving of drug product orders in computer systems.
• Process prescriptions accurately following policies and procedures, including store transfers.
• Electronically scan dispensed products with every prescription.
• Knowledgeable in insurance billing for accuracy and compliance.
• Knowledgeable in printing and using reports to support business functions.
• Aid in store inventory preparation.
• Provide quality, compassionate pharmaceutical care and support department goals.
• Adapt to interruptions and schedule changes.
• Compound non-sterile medications up to Moderate USP 795.
