Job summary

MyMichigan Health is seeking an entry-level Pharmacy Technician to support daily operations in the pharmacy. After training, you will decipher and enter orders, compound IVs, handle labeling, and assist with stocking and dispensing tasks.

Responsibilities include running reports, restocking machines, compounding per USP guidelines, correcting NDC numbers, and assisting pharmacists with phone inquiries and patient needs. A High School Diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

• Completion of annual exam for Aseptic Technique within 90 days of hire and annually thereafter.
• Good math skills and ability to pass a standard test.
• Work in a pharmacy setting, preferred experience in medical center or retail pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Run reports, restock automated dispensing machines, and assist with dispensing problems.
• Perform sterile and non-sterile compounding following USP guidelines and maintain cleanliness of IV areas.
• Enter orders accurately into computer systems and label/repackage medications.
• Answer phones and assist pharmacists and staff; help with inventory and floor stock.
• Repackage medications and maintain EMS or crash cart supplies in designated areas.
