Corewell Health Southfield Center is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join the Specialty Pharmacy Call Center. You will assist in dispensing, data entry, and record keeping under supervision of a pharmacist in a hospital setting.

The role includes rotation through IV admixture and unit dose service, with potential assignment to OR and Outpatient Pharmacy Services. Typical schedule is day shift, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with variable workload.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with sterile compounding and/or 6 months technician experience preferred.
• MI licensure upon hire as Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacist Intern.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, store, distribute and dispense prescriptions under pharmacist supervision.
• Rotate through IV admixture and unit dose service within the hospital.
• Rotate to OR Pharmacy Services and Outpatient Pharmacy Services as needed; perform data entry and record keeping.

About the Unit

Provides Pharmaceutical Care according to professional and departmental standards and statutory requirements.

Scope of Work

Under the direction and supervision of a Pharmacist, performs a variety of functions related to preparation, storage, distribution and dispensing of prescriptions. Within the Hospital, rotation through IV admixture and unit dose service is routine. Rotation to OR Pharmacy Services and Outpatient Pharmacy Services may be required. Performs data entry and other record keeping functions as determined to be necessary to the operations of the department.

Qualifications

• Required A level of knowledge normally acquired through completion of a general high school diploma program or GED.
• Experience with sterile compounding and/or 6 months technician experience and/or graduate of an ASHP accredited technician training program. Preferred
• LIC-Pharmacy Technician - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required Or
• LIC-Pharmacist Intern - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required
