Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) for the Mason Service Center. The role involves dispensing medications under pharmacist supervision, maintaining stock, and providing excellent patient service. Strong accuracy with prescriptions and patient data is required.

Eligible for a $5,000 sign-on bonus and a 40-hour weekly schedule with four 10-hour shifts. The position emphasizes teamwork, education of patients on wellness programs, and contribution to cost savings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; ExCPT certification required.
• Strong communication and customer-service skills.
• Experience with pharmacy calculations and terminology.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with patients, physicians offices and pharmacies by phone.
• Provide excellent customer service by phone with patients and healthcare workers.
• Educate patients on wellness programs and cost-savings opportunities.
• Collaborate with team to meet department goals.
• Assist in purchasing to maintain stock; reorder medications and supplies.
• Count and ensure timely delivery of medication orders.
• Attach prescriptions and patient data to profiles and document allergies/conditions.
• Enter prescription information into the pharmacy system accurately.
