Job summary

Mercy Springfield is seeking a Full-Time Pharmacy Technician I to join our Pharmacy team. You will work alongside pharmacists to ensure safe, accurate, and timely medication services. If you are detail-oriented and passionate about patient care, we’d love to hear from you.

Under direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, you will perform duties to support pharmacy operations, including dispensing and sterile compounding as applicable. Mercy offers strong benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Active registration, in good standing, with the State Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician or willingness to obtain it.
Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

Enter patient and medication information into EPIC.
Prepare medications for pharmacist review and dispensing.
Retrieve, count, package, and label medications accurately.
Assist with sterile compounding preparation and training as applicable.
Fill medication orders and prescriptions in a timely manner.
Receive, stock, and maintain medication inventory.
Deliver medications to patients and nursing units after pharmacist verification.
Process returned medications and credits when appropriate.
