Job summary

Shields Health Solutions is seeking a Pharmacy Refill Technician to support the pharmacy team with accurate, timely filling and delivery of specialty medications. You will assist patients through the refill process, handle outbound and inbound calls, and help maintain efficient pharmacy operations.

Role requires Texas registration as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT or ExCPT) and 2+ years of experience, with strong communication and technical skills.

Qualifications

• Texas-registered pharmacy technician with CPhT or ExCPT.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a pharmacy technician.
• Strong communication and tech skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, knowledgeable assistance to patients, providers, and staff.
• Make outbound refill calls and process requests promptly.
• Answer and triage incoming pharmacy calls.
• Clarify prescription orders with pharmacists or clinicians.
• Coordinate medication refills and complete accurate data entry.
• Assist with claim adjudication and troubleshoot rejected claims.
