Job summary

Lifepoint Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician at Jackson Purchase Medical Center in Mayfield, KY, to provide distributive pharmacy services under the registered pharmacist. The role supports refills, inventory, and packaging tasks in a fast-paced setting.

Requirements include a high school diploma and Kentucky Pharmacy Board registration within 30 days. One year of related experience or completion of a certified program is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or the equivalent required.
• Registration with the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy within 30 days of employment.
• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
• Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• One (1) year related pharmacy experience and/or training or graduate of certified training program/healthcare careers college preferred.

Responsibilities

• Refills and maintains automated dispensing systems.
• Fills medication carts on a daily basis.
• Prepares orders and maintains inventory for the pharmacy department.
• Repackages bulk medications.
