Job summary

Jackson Purchase Medical Center in Mayfield, Kentucky is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide compassionate patient care in a collaborative team. You will perform essential nursing duties, implement care plans, participate in staff scheduling, and support quality improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements departmental goals, plans, and standards aligned with organizational requirements.
• Directs and evaluates departmental operations, including patient care delivery, service levels, and complaints.
• Plans staffing activities, including hiring, orientation, evaluation, and continuing education initiatives.
• Prepares and monitors departmental budgets and coordinates internal/external audits.
• Creates an environment fostering professional growth.
• Integrates evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

How you’ll contribute

To perform this job, an individual must perform each essential function satisfactorily with or without a reasonable accommodation.

• Develops and implements departmental goals, plans, and standards consistent with the clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization.
• Directs and evaluates departmental operations, including patient care delivery, information technologies, service level determination, and complaint management, to achieve performance and quality control objectives.
• Plans and monitors staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives.
• Prepares, monitors, and evaluates departmental budgets, and ensures that the department operates in compliance with allocated funding. Coordinates and directs internal/external audits.
• Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth.
• Integrates evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.
• Regular and reliable attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
