Job summary

CloudRx Pharmacy Hub is hiring a Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our Prior Authorization team in a 100% onsite environment in the Dallas–Fort Worth area.

You will review prescriptions, collect patient and insurance data, submit PA requests, and maintain clear communications with patients and providers while ensuring compliance and accuracy in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Active Texas Pharmacy Technician registration in good standing.
• Current Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification.
• Knowledge of prescription medications, insurance processes, and prior authorizations.
• Prior authorization, specialty, retail pharmacy or healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review prescription orders to identify meds needing prior authorization.
• Gather and verify patient, insurance, prescription, and medical information.
• Prepare and submit accurate prior authorization requests to insurers.
• Follow up on pending requests, missing documentation, approvals, and denials.
• Explain the prior authorization process to patients and provide updates.
• Collaborate with providers, clinics, pharmacies, and insurers to resolve issues.
• Manage clinic chats and respond to questions and action items in real time.
• Document activity and maintain complete patient records.
• Protect confidential patient information and adhere to regulations.
• Meet performance expectations including turnaround times and accuracy.
• Identify workflow improvements and enhance patient experience.
• Assist with other team responsibilities as needed.

Cloud Rx is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our Prior Authorization team. In this role, you will work directly with patients, healthcare providers, clinics, and insurance companies to help remove barriers to medication access.

You will play an important part in moving prior authorization requests forward accurately and efficiently while keeping patients and clinic partners informed throughout the process.

What You’ll Do

• Review prescription orders to identify medications requiring prior authorization.
• Gather and verify patient, insurance, prescription, and medical information.
• Prepare and submit accurate prior authorization requests to insurance providers.
• Follow up on pending requests, missing documentation, approvals, and denials.
• Communicate with patients to explain the prior authorization process and provide status updates.

• Meet established performance expectations, including patient turnaround times, accuracy, and other department metrics.
• Identify opportunities to improve workflows and the patient experience.
• Assist with other team responsibilities as needed.

What We’re Looking For

• Active Texas Pharmacy Technician registration in good standing.
• Current Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification.
• Knowledge of pharmacy terminology, prescription medications, insurance processes, and prior authorizations.
• Previous prior authorization, specialty pharmacy, retail pharmacy, or healthcare experience is strongly preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• A patient-focused approach and the ability to explain complex information clearly.
• Excellent organization, follow-up, and time-management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Comfort learning and navigating multiple software platforms.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team.

Schedule and Work Location

This is a full-time, 100% onsite position in the Dallas–Fort Worth area. Team members must be available to work a standard 8.5-hour shift scheduled between our operating hours of 8:30 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. CST.
