Safeway is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in processing prescriptions, data entry, and medication preparation while ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Must be 16+ (or 18+ depending on location)
• Current Board of Pharmacy registration or licensure
• Ability to operate computers, registers, and pharmacy systems
• Successful completion of required pharmacy training programs
• Working knowledge of pharmacy procedures, prescription processing, and HIPAA guidelines
• Proficiency in math and basic calculations
• Ability to read, interpret, and follow written/verbal instructions
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, or holidays

Responsibilities

• Process prescriptions and enter data under the supervision of a pharmacist
• Assist with data entry, medication preparation, and order processing
• Maintain records and ensure HIPAA compliance
• Direct clinical questions to the pharmacist and assist customers as needed
