Job summary

Albertsons Companies Inc. operates Safeway pharmacies and is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists with prescription processing, data entry and medication preparation.

You will interact with customers, answer questions, and direct clinical inquiries to the pharmacist while maintaining accuracy and regulatory compliance. The role emphasizes organization, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 16+ (or 18+ where required) per location
• Current Board of Pharmacy registration or licensure where applicable
• Ability to operate computers, registers, and pharmacy systems
• Successful completion of required pharmacy training programs and technician development requirements
• Working knowledge of pharmacy procedures, prescription processing, and HIPAA guidelines
• Proficiency in computer systems and basic math calculations
• Ability to read, interpret, and follow written and verbal instructions
• Availability to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays preferred

Responsibilities

• Process prescriptions and data entry under pharmacist supervision
• Prepare medications and assist with medication preparation
