Job summary

Albertsons Companies Inc. is seeking a Pharmacy Technician who supports pharmacists by processing prescriptions, entering data, and preparing medications within regulatory guidelines.

You will interact with customers, answer questions, and route clinical inquiries to the pharmacist, while maintaining accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced retail pharmacy environment. You will also manage records, restock supplies, and keep the workspace organized and compliant with HIPAA and federal/state laws,

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age or older (or 18 depending on location requirements).
• Current Board of Pharmacy registration or licensure where applicable.
• Ability to operate computers, registers, and pharmacy systems.
• Successful completion of required pharmacy training programs and technician development requirements.
• Working knowledge of pharmacy procedures, prescription processing, and HIPAA guidelines.
• Proficiency in computer systems and basic math calculations.
• Ability to read, interpret, and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Availability to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process prescriptions and data entry under pharmacist supervision.
• Assist with data entry, medication preparation, and order processing within regulatory limits.
• Maintain records, restock supplies, and keep the workspace clean while following regulations.
• Answer questions, process transactions, and direct clinical questions to the pharmacist.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and ensure adherence to federal/state pharmacy laws.
