Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy in accordance with state and federal regulations. Support other Pharmacy Department duties per company policies and procedures.
• Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and assist with pharmacy operations. If PTCB certified, help train and coach other pharmacy technicians and cashiers.
• Deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.

Customer Experience

• Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance. Resolve issues and answer questions to ensure a positive experience.
• Share customer service best practices with team members, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
• Develop strong relationships with valuable customers.

Operations

• Support pharmacy practice under pharmacist supervision, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
• Perform duties such as entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying medicines, and assisting with workflow scheduling.
• Report prescription errors immediately and adhere to policies regarding pharmacy errors and quality improvement.
• Handle sales transactions, assist customers in locating products, and process third-party claims efficiently.
• Support inventory management and maintain knowledge of asset protection techniques.
• Assist in clinical services, including sample collection and coordination of healthcare services.
• Help develop relationships with the medical community and support outreach efforts.
• Maintain the pharmacy environment, ensuring it is stocked, clean, and orderly.
• Follow all company policies, maintain respectful relationships, and complete assigned tasks.

Training & Personal Development

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through the designated training program and/or state requirements. Certification may be a condition for promotion.
• Attend training sessions, acquire continuing education credits, and stay informed about healthcare and pharmacy developments.

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
