Responsibilities include:

• Assisting the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy in accordance with state and federal regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
• Using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions. If PTCB certified, assisting and coaching other pharmacy technicians and cashiers in pharmacy system operation.
• Delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience.

Customer Experience

• Engaging customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance, resolving issues, and answering questions to ensure a positive experience.
• Sharing customer service best practices with team members, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
• Developing strong relationships with valuable customers.

Operations

• Assisting in pharmacy practice under pharmacist supervision, including entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying medicines, and checking for interactions.
• Reporting prescription errors immediately and adhering to policies regarding pharmacy errors and quality improvement.
• Handling sales transactions, managing inventory, and supporting clinical services as needed.

Training & Personal Development

• Maintaining PTCB certification through the designated training program or state certification/registration; earning certification as a condition of promotion.
• Attending training sessions and acquiring continuing education credits to stay updated on healthcare and pharmacy developments.

Additional requirements include fluency in English (except in Puerto Rico) and willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
