Responsibilities

1. Assist the pharmacist, under supervision, in the practice of pharmacy in accordance with state and federal regulations, company policies, and procedures.
2. Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and, if PTCB certified, assist and coach other pharmacy technicians and cashiers.
3. Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.

Customer Experience

• Engage customers and patients by greeting and assisting them, resolving issues, and answering questions to ensure positive experiences.
• Share customer service best practices with team members, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
• Develop strong relationships with valuable customers.

Operations

• Assist in pharmacy practice under supervision, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
• Perform duties such as entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying accuracy, and assisting with workflow.
• Report prescription errors immediately and adhere to policies related to dispensing and quality improvement.
• Handle sales transactions, assist with inventory management, and support clinical services as needed.
• Maintain a clean, stocked, and organized pharmacy environment.

Training & Personal Development

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through our training program and/or state certification; certification may be required for promotion.
• Attend training and continuing education to stay updated on healthcare and pharmacy developments.

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
