Responsibilities include:

1. Assisting the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy in accordance with state and federal regulations, and assisting in other Pharmacy Department duties as per company policies.
2. Using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and, if PTCB certified, coaching other pharmacy technicians and cashiers in system operation and cash register use.
3. Delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience by engaging customers, resolving issues, and answering questions.

Customer Experience

• Greeting customers and offering assistance, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive experience.
• Sharing customer service best practices with team members and developing strong relationships with valuable customers.

Operations

• Assisting in pharmacy practices under supervision, including entering information, filling prescriptions, verifying medicines, and checking for interactions.
• Reporting prescription errors immediately and adhering to policies related to pharmacy errors and quality improvement.
• Maintaining compliance with Good Faith Dispensing policies.
• Handling sales transactions, assisting in locating products, and processing third-party claims efficiently.
• Supporting inventory management and clinical services, including sample collection and coordination with healthcare providers.
• Maintaining the pharmacy's cleanliness, orderliness, and supply levels.
• Building relationships with the medical community through outreach and detailing.
• Participating in exterior and interior maintenance and completing assigned tasks.

Training & Personal Development

• Maintaining PTCB certification through the designated program or state registration, with promotion requirements as applicable.
• Attending training sessions and acquiring continuing education credits to stay updated on healthcare and pharmacy developments.

Additional requirements include fluency in English (except in Puerto Rico) and willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
