Responsibilities

1. Assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy in accordance with state and federal regulations. Assist in other Pharmacy Department duties per company policies.
2. Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and assist with pharmacy operations if PTCB certified.
3. Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.

Customer Experience

• Engage customers and patients, greet them, offer assistance, resolve issues, and ensure positive experiences.
• Share customer service best practices to deliver outstanding service, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
• Develop strong relationships with valuable customers.

Operations

• Assist in pharmacy practice under supervision, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
• Perform duties such as entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying medicines, and assisting with workflow management.
• Report prescription errors immediately and adhere to quality policies.
• Handle sales transactions, assist customers in locating products, and process third-party claims efficiently.
• Support inventory management, including ordering and storage of pharmaceuticals.
• Assist in clinical services, including sample collection and coordination with healthcare providers.
• Build and maintain relationships with the medical community through outreach and detailing.
• Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the pharmacy environment.
• Follow all company policies and complete assigned tasks.

Training & Personal Development

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through our training program and/or state certification.
• Attend training sessions, acquire continuing education credits, and stay updated on healthcare and pharmacy developments.

• Be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
