Responsibilities include:

1. Assisting the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy in accordance with state and federal regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
2. Using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and assist with pharmacy operations, including coaching other technicians if certified.
3. Delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience by engaging customers, resolving issues, and developing strong relationships.

Customer Experience

• Greeting customers and offering assistance, answering questions, and resolving issues to ensure a positive experience.
• Sharing customer service best practices with team members to ensure a high standard of service, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
• Building strong relationships with valuable customers.

Operations

• Supporting pharmacy activities such as entering information, filling prescriptions, verifying accuracy, and managing workflow under supervision.
• Reporting prescription errors immediately and adhering to policies regarding dispensing and quality improvement.
• Handling sales transactions, assisting customers in locating products, and managing clerical duties like claims processing and inventory support.
• Supporting clinical services and maintaining relationships with healthcare providers.
• Ensuring the pharmacy environment is clean, stocked, and orderly, and maintaining respectful coworker relationships.

Training & Personal Development

• Maintaining PTCB certification through the designated training program and/or state registration; certification may be required for promotion.
• Attending training and acquiring continuing education credits to stay current with healthcare and pharmacy developments.

• Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English is required, except in Puerto Rico.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
