Responsibilities include:

1. Assisting the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy, in accordance with state and federal regulations, and assisting in other Pharmacy Department duties per company policies.
2. Using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and, if PTCB certified, coaching other pharmacy technicians and cashiers in their operation.
3. Delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience.

Customer Experience

• Greeting customers and patients, offering assistance, resolving issues, and answering questions to ensure a positive experience.
• Sharing customer service best practices with team members, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
• Developing strong relationships with valuable customers.

Operations

• Assisting in pharmacy practices under supervision, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
• Performing duties like entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying medicines, and checking for interactions.
• Reporting prescription errors immediately and adhering to quality and dispensing policies.
• Handling sales, cash register operations, and customer assistance in locating products.
• Processing third-party claims, supporting inventory management, and assisting in clinical services when required.
• Maintaining a clean, organized pharmacy environment and fostering good relationships with healthcare providers.

Training & Personal Development

• Maintaining PTCB certification through the designated training program and/or state requirements, with promotion contingent on certification.
• Attending training and continuing education to stay updated on healthcare and pharmacy developments.

Additional requirements include fluency in English (except in Puerto Rico) and willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
