Responsibilities include:

1. In accordance with state and federal regulations, assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in pharmacy practice and other Pharmacy Department duties per company policies.
2. Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and, if PTCB certified, assist and coach other pharmacy technicians and cashiers.
3. Deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.

Customer Experience

• Engage customers by greeting them and offering assistance, resolving issues, and answering questions to ensure positive interactions.
• Share customer service best practices to deliver exceptional service, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
• Develop strong relationships with valuable customers.

Operations

• Assist in pharmacy practice under pharmacist supervision, including entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying medicines, and checking for interactions.
• Report prescription errors immediately and adhere to policies regarding pharmacy errors and quality improvement.
• Register sales, handle cash, and assist customers in locating products.
• Process manual claims for third-party prescriptions and support inventory management activities.
• Assist in clinical services, including sample collection and coordination with healthcare providers.
• Support relationship building with the medical community and maintain the pharmacy environment.
• Ensure the pharmacy is stocked, clean, and orderly.
• Follow all company policies and maintain respectful coworker relationships.
• Complete assigned tasks and special projects as needed.

Training & Personal Development

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through the designated training program or state certification, with certification as a condition for promotion.
• Attend training sessions and acquire continuing education credits to stay current in healthcare and pharmacy developments.

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
